Ford Supports Breast Cancer Awareness with its "Warriors in Pink" Program

As we've seen recently illustrated by our dear community member A. Freeman, Ford's "Warrior in Pink" program offers lady car fans a way to indulge their automotive need for speed while also showing their support of breast cancer awareness. Besides a perfectly pink accessorized Mustang, Ford supports breasts cancer awareness in a broad variety of ways.

Ford's "Warrior in Pink" awareness program includes support from celebrity spokespeople Melissa Etheridge and Kelly Clarkson and also provides a variety of programs and products from cars to clothing. Here's a tour of Ford's "Warriors in Pink" programs found at fordcares.com.

Ford's Commitment to the Komen Race for the Cure
At the head of the fight against breast cancer is Susan G. Komen for the Cure with their resounding promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find cures. Nancy Brinker founded the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 1982 in memory of her sister who died of breast cancer at age 36. 1983 marked the beginning of the Komen Race for the Cure(R), which has now grown from one Race in 1983 to more than 115 Races and more than 1.5 million participants planned for 2007. The Komen Race for the Cure Series is now the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer, bringing together more than a million believers each year to battle breast cancer by walking or running the 5k marathon.
